How to Re-enable a User’s Access to the Versapay Customer Portal and Resolve Login Issues
If a user’s account is disabled or they encounter login issues, follow these steps to restore access and troubleshoot problems effectively.
Re-enabling a Disabled User’s Access
Locate the User Account - Search for the user’s account using their account number or email address in the Versapay Customer Portal.
Enable Visibility of Disabled Users - In the Users listing, select the option to “Include disabled users” (or “Show Disabled Users” in the Customer Portal) and apply the filter.
Update User Details - Click on the user’s profile and select "Update Details." - Assign a role to the user (e.g., Admin, Read-Only) and click "Update" to re-enable their access.
Re-invite the User (if applicable) - From the account where you manage users, send a new user invite to the user’s email address. - The user must accept the email invite and link their profile to the relevant accounts to regain access.
Resetting a User’s Password
If the user needs to reset their password:
Instruct the user to use the "Forgot Password" option on the Versapay login page.
The password reset email link will be valid for 20 minutes.
If the email does not appear, advise the user to check their spam or junk folder.
Troubleshooting Login Errors
If a user encounters an “account deactivated” or similar error:
Clear the browser’s cache and cookies, then attempt to log in again.
If the issue persists, try logging in using a different web browser.
These steps often resolve login issues caused by cached data or browser-specific problems.
Notes on User Management
User management, including sending invitations, should be performed through your ERP system, which will then send invitations to Versapay.
Ensure that user roles and permissions are correctly assigned to grant appropriate access levels.
